Richardson was born and raised in London, England, the youngest child of very creative parents. Her father was a member of the Royal College of Art and her mother a draftswoman. She painted and drew under their direction until turning her focus toward her studies.

An entrepreneur with varying degrees of success, Richardson worked as a headhunter, restaurateur, inventor, golf ball hunter, fruit and vegetable picker, car washer, dog/cat/horse/bird/squirrel trainer, realtor, women’s accessories representative and jewelry designer/manufacturer.

Over the years, she has participated in art workshops and painted watercolors when back at home in England. She has also had the pleasure of attending a reception given in the honor of prominent artist Jack Pardue, of Alexandria, VA.

After participating in oil workshops on St. George Island in 2008 and 2009, Richardson began seriously painting again with historic Apalachicola and its estuary providing endless inspiration.

Richardson is also one of Apalachicola’s unsung heroes. To help save human life, she volunteers her time tirelessly going throughout the community encouraging local residents to donate blood to the Bay Medical Blood Donor Center.
